Smithills Open Farm is a family run business which is satiated in seventy acres of Bolton Country Park. The farm has been open to the public since the year 2000.

Your children can feed the animals and even hold them if they wish to.

The farm also caters for children’s birthday parties and trips from schools. Smithills Open Farm has an educational website teaching you about all the cute animals and some not so cute creatures.

Smithills Farm says they are open to the public all year round except: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

  • Monday: 10:00 – 17:00
  • Tuesday: 10:00 – 17:00
  • Wednesday: 10:00 – 17:00
  • Thursday: 10:00 – 17:00
  • Friday: 10:00 – 17:00

  • Sunday: 10:00 – 17:00

Smithills Farm Prices:

Adults: £7.00

Children: £6.00 (2 – 16 years, children under 2 are free to get in)

OAPs: £6.00

School children £8 and adults one free for every 5 children then £7 each

Birthday parties £12

Group Bookings

Group bookings are £8.00 per child. Accompanying adults are free at a ratio of 1 adult to every 5 children. Any adults above this ratio are charged at £7.00 each. This price includes a donkey ride for each child as well as a tractor and trailer ride.
